Justin was first introduced to lutherie in the mid 2000s when his love of guitar took him to Chelsea, Quebec Canada. There he studied under master guitar builder, Sergei DeJonge while attending his 5 week extensive guitar building course. In 2022, he decided to turn a hobby into a career by opening 1978 Guitar Works, providing guitar repair in Johnstown PA.

1978 Guitar Works is housed in the Artworks Building in Cambria City. The space is perfect for a luthier shop.
